ABOUT THE PACKAGE

Nice Package Disc Duplication & NP Recording is a company that’s concept was cultivated in the mountains of Western Maryland, who’s name was dreamt up on the beaches of the Eastern Shore and who’s home base and newly renovated location is deeply rooted in the heart of Towson.  The young company is currently in its eighth year of business and credits the philosophy of maintaining not only the ability, but the willingness to evolve as the most important ingredient to success in today's highly competitive business world. The company, owned and operated by brothers Jason George (31) and Damon George (28), was started in March of 2001 out of their 2 bedroom Dulaney Valley apartment.

Nice Package, as it was then called, initially concentrated solely on graphic design, duplication and packaging of CDs for local independent musicians.  The company in its current form is multifaceted and now serves two distinctly different markets.  A normal day is still occupied by providing design, duplication and packaging services, but the clientele has shifted towards the local shirt & tie business community rather than the ripped jeans and t-shirt music community.  Nice Package Disc Duplication is able to meet the needs of today's fast moving business world and because it's local, is able to do so faster than any of its competitors.  When night falls, Nice Package Disc Duplication transforms into NP Recording, a high-end audio recording facility.  The sounds of telephones ringing and printers running are replaced with the diverse sounds of some of Baltimore's most creative and talented artists burning the midnight oil in studio.

"The Baltimore Initiative", a project launched in the summer of 2008, was one of the crowning achievements for NP Recording.  The project revolved around a CD Compilation, recorded and manufactured by NP, with some of Baltimore's best new artists contributing their music. The project culminated with a huge CD release concert that took place at The Ottobar, a popular music venue located in downtown Baltimore.  The luxury of being able to provide such an array of services to two distinctly different markets is at the forefront of NP's success.

Jason and Damon grew up in Phoenix, MD and are both graduates of Towson University.  The two brother's ability to work so well together with little to no conflict is surprising to some, but considering that the brothers were raised in an extremely successful family business makes their relationship easier to understand.  The values and determination to succeed, qualities inherited from their parents and grandparents, have already paid huge dividends in the accomplishments of NP.  In late 2005 the two were able to purchase and renovate their building on West Chesapeake Ave, which now stands as a beautiful landmark to their hard work and perseverance.  For a business that has yet to hit the 10 year mark, the George brothers do not bask in their accomplishments, but rather maintain a clear understanding that NP Recording & Nice Package Disc Duplication has yet to fully evolve into what it has the capability of becoming.  On that humble note, it's fair to expect more big things from this small company in the future...whether you're an executive or a rock star.
